The overall mission of the Director of Human Resources (HR) is to lead Curaleafs organization to provide HR leadership support for all Retail team members. The Director of HR, Retail is responsible for identifying areas of need and works with teams to develop/implement appropriate solutions to enhance team member satisfaction, ensure proper compliance and limit liability.

**MAJOR LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES**

*Human Resources Strategic Planning*

* As part of the Leadership Team, collaborates on HR strategies, projects, tools, and programs needed to support Curaleaf business goals

*Strategic Partnership*

* Develops and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of HR and business strategy in support of operational growth and exceptional customer service

* Serves as an active participant in senior management meetings and participates in making key decisions and in developing strategic plans and objectives for the business

*Human Capital Management*

* Partners with business leaders to conduct workforce planning for appropriate levels of the organization; responsible for job design for positions in the area of responsibility; works with leaders and team members to support the development and implementation of team member engagement activities

*Team member Relations*

* Helps maintain a positive work environment for assigned business units

* Supports the resolution of complex team member relations issues, within a Union environment

* Coaches and develops management staff to understand policies and processes related to disciplinary situations

*Benefits Administration*

* Roll out benefits plans to business units

* Benefits administration

*Performance Management*

* Works with business unit Managers to define job & performance expectations

* Ensures performance reviews are conducted annually for all managers and team members

* Provides support and guidance in addressing substandard performance, and ensures legal compliance and fairness

*Talent Management & Acquisition*

* Approves adds to staff and backfills, assist in the recruiting and interviewing process as needed

*Policy & Procedure / Employment Law Compliance*

* Maintains knowledge of policies & procedures to serve as a primary resource to Curaleaf management staff and business unit Managers

* Serves as Subject Matter Expert and participates in the development and revision of policies and procedures to ensure they are necessary, efficient, and make sound business sense

* Ensures Curaleaf business units comply with Federal/State laws and company policies to minimize liability and foster positive relations between management and staff

*Training*

* Helps identify and prioritize training needs for the assigned business units

* Provides feedback for methods and resources for training, and ensures training supports business plans and needs

* Conducts training sessions to managers/team members within Curaleafs Retail business

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* Bachelors degree

* 7 years Human Resources Management experience

* Transparent and high-integrity leadership required

* A proven track record of delivering the organization results through people

* Subject to comprehensive background check per state cannabis regulations

* Strong communications skills

* Ability to travel approximately 25% within the US is required
