Edúcate Ya is seeking a Program Manager for our new Educadores de Reciclaje program.

Skills:

• Bilingual Language and Bicultural Skills -- fluent writing, speaking, and reading in Spanish & English strongly preferred. The person who fills this role should be prepared to carry out correspondence in Spanish/English, whether that be on the phone, via e-mail or in person.
• Excellent written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of program development principles and strategies
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with underserved Latinx, Immigrant, BIPOC and/or LGBTQ Communities.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Executive Director on Development and Implementation of the program
• Program Oversight
• Effective Communication with Facilitators and Participants
• Community Outreach
• Organization and Recruitment of Participants
• Implement Effective Communication and Feedback strategies for community-based input
• Evaluate and Monitor success of program participation
• Implement a cultural-specific Spanish-language curriculum on proper Waste Management and Recycling in the tri-county Portland Metro area based on Master Recycler Program. Possible included topics are:Climate change

Repair and reuse
Community sharing
Toxics reduction
Saving food from being wasted
Recycling and compost processing
Equity in the environment
Global recycling markets

A Bachelor's Degree in related field., and program management experience with nonprofit organizations is preferred.

Full Time:

$20 per hour

Up to 40 hours per week.

A valid driver’s license is required & reliable transportation
