SUMMARY OF POSITION: Dental Billing – CBO Patient Customer Service Rep

The CBO Patient Customer Service Rep performs various tasks to ensure the smooth operations of the Central Billing Operations Department when it comes to assisting our patients with their outstanding balance. Whether this be strictly collecting a payment or looking into questions and issues they may have, we aim to be the primary source for billing answers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer phone calls from patients with questions on their outstanding balance in an effort to resolve their questions and get the balance paid
• Replying to emails sent in by patients with questions on their outstanding balance in an effort to resolve their questions and get the balance paid
• Listening and responding to voicemails left by patients with questions on their outstanding balance in an effort to resolve their questions and get the balance paid
• Audits accounts to determine the accuracy of the ledger when it comes to the fees entered, plan and fee schedule selected and how that equates to the patient’s estimate
• Reviewing requested refunds for accuracy and submitting to accounting
• Posting refunds made by accounting to patient’s ledgers
• Posting payments from patients paying their outstanding balance via phone, mail or online
• Promptly Supporting the offices with questions or concerns they may have regarding patient’s accounts
• Displays and foster the core qualities of the organization (“Legendary” service, Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Team and continuous improvement)

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Focus on Accuracy
• Experience in Dental is preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental office functions
• Communication skills
• Revenue integrity (maximize collection, minimize write off)
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Represent the organization with professionalism and a passion for excellence at every turn
