United Community Centers (UCC) is a social justice driven community center that has been serving the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn for over 60 years. ENYF is a project of the United Community Centers, Inc (UCC). ENYF! is a diverse group of gardeners, vendors, farmers and youth working together to strengthen our community through gardens, fresh food, and farmers markets.

The Administrative Assistant,with a focus on content creation,will support East New York Farms! staff with daily operations, collecting information, promoting our workshops, events and materials on social media, and creating unique content. We are looking for a committed and reliable individual who is willing to learn and take initiative in further developing our work supporting the community of East New York.

Role and Responsibilities:

*Promote all of ENYF! events, workshops and jobs application on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and weekly email blast. *Editing and publishing videos, graphics and photos for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. *Connecting with ENYF’s audience and followers via Stories, Livestreams and replying to messages and comments. *Conducting research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. *Monitoring news and media that pertains to food justice and urban agriculture. *Collaborating with admin to design and create content that aligns with the company's goals and brand identity. *Send out biweekly email blasts with community outreach materials. *Assist staff with entering collected data into civi, such as names, addresses, emails and phone numbers. *Assist with the execution and planning of organizational events. *In charge of tracking and selling of ENYF! Merchandise. *Website management: update content on the website as needed. *Supporting staff when needed.

Qualifications

*Working knowledge of Social Media Platforms and Google Drive. *Knowledge of CiviCRM or other data management systems. *Knowledge of Canva or other marketing creation systems. *Knowledge of Wordpress and other website management tools.

Desired Qualities

*Familiarity with East New York *Interest and experience in grassroots organizing and community-based work. *Knowledge of Spanish or Bangla is helpful but not required. *Comfortable working with groups of people of diverse ages and backgrounds, especially youth and older adults.

*$19-21/hour pay rate with 29 hours a week *Paid sick time *Flexible schedule with the possible work on Saturdays, open to hybrid
