The Program Support Specialist (PSS) provides direct services to clients in our Emergency Shelter and Recovery House programs. The PSS maintains a therapeutic environment by observing and interacting with clients and/or guests. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a therapeutic environment by observing and interacting with the clients and/or guest and by providing needed direct services.
• Perform various processes and procedures for clients.
• Complete the daily shift report with all required information, email to the appropriate staff, and place a printed copy in the MSR binder.
• Answer the phone, provide assistance and/or take appropriate messages.
• Complete maintenance requests and submit to maintenance staff. Record information in the shift report.
• Monitor the facility and residents’ and/or guests’ behavior for safety and respond to emergency situations.
• Prepare and/or assist with meal service as needed.

Qualifications:

Salary: From $15.38 per hour

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Previous experience in a residential setting and/or food service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with guests, residents, visitors and EECM staff.
• Experience providing services to a population with mental health issues and/or experiencing homelessness.
• Demonstrate ability to make decisions and to follow policy independently, especially in an emergency situation.
• Available to work 3:00PM - 11:00PM, Monday - Friday.
