Program Support Coordinator

Position Description

The Za’kiyah House Program Support Coordinators in our Secure Housing Program are responsible for building relationships with residents and addressing needs as they come up, collaborating with other program staff, assisting in the intake process, and supporting ongoing case management to existing residents. The role includes some additional support in outreach, clerical tasks.

This position is a part-time, hourly position (20–30 hours), with wages $12–15/hr, depending on experience and work expectations. Overnight shifts are possible, where these shifts will have fewer responsibilities than coordinators working daytime shifts and pay may reflect that.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    *Coordination and Collaboration *Report directly to the Programs Director *Work alongside the houseparent's, program intake coordinator and housing manager in scheduling, tending to resident needs, and provide general support where needed. *Participate in conflict resolution, when necessary, among staff, residents, or other participants *Facilitate intake meetings & procedures. *Assist residents in requesting and applying for all necessary documentation. *Work alongside residents to complete necessary forms for the program. *Provide tours to parole officers or other officials for residents, when required. *Ongoing resident support management. *Weekly meetings with residents regarding their progress and report any change in status and needs to responsible staff. *Provide any required verification letters. *Maintain secure documentation for each resident. *Assist in administering monthly drug testing with residents. *Ensure residents receive necessary resources for their success in the housing program.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    *Interpersonal Skills: *Works easily with people of many different backgrounds *Exhibits friendly and professional demeanor. *Communicates clearly, politely, and effectively. *Possesses excellent phone etiquette. *Pays close attention to detail. *Is capable of identifying, addressing, and rectifying mistakes when they occur. *Administrative Skills: *Exhibits strong organizational skills. *Has ability to manage and complete several ongoing daily tasks and switch between tasks easily. *Demonstrates excellent time-management skills. *Clearly communicates in writing and record-keeping. *Technical skills *Is proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Documents *Has capacity to learn and teach new software for documentation as required. *Demonstrates familiarity with basic office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and intercom systems. *Education and Experience *A familiarity with recovery house procedures, and HIPAA compliant documentation preferred. *An understanding of existing community and government supports for drug recovery preferred. *High school diploma or GED is required. *Criminal background check will be performed, we are interested in the nature of criminal activity, but believe hiring people who have had criminal background is important in the work we provide.

Work Environment

    *The majority of time will be spent in a temperature-controlled office or conference room within one of two residential homes. *Some light local travel to run errands may be required. *Moderate physical activity such as walking, standing, and light lifting is involved in many daily activities. *On-going Training Provided for necessary certifications.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $12.00 - $15.00/hour.
