OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and growing new business as well as managing and maintaining existing customer accounts for EarthFresh. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in business or a relevant field of study

Experience & Skills:

• 7-10 years of sales account management experience in the produce and potato industry
• 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
• An aptitude for business processes and acumen
• Agriculture / product knowledge as it relates to the produce industry, specifically root vegetables
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
• Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and ability to stay self-motivated and highly organized, prioritize
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently within established policies and broad objectives
• Proficient in MS Office Suite products, knowledge of inventory management software
• Valid drivers’ license and passport required
• Flexibility in working hours required/frequent travel to the US/within Canada

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Account Management and constant oversight of customer base.
2. Conduct frequent customer sales presentations.
3. Prepare/manage pricing lists for all customers.
4. Communicate new customer needs and requirements to all EarthFresh companies.
5. Deliver high level customer service as it relates to the creation of new business development for EarthFresh.
6. Provide market updates.
7. Conduct strategic planning as it relates to tradeshows, presentations and new business development.
8. Attend regular industry events and advocate for the produce industry while also upholding and representing a professional image of EarthFresh.
9. Other duties as required by the COO.
