Technology Support EngineerLocation: Chicago, IL, USAReporting to: Head of IT Delivery Centre
Summary:DWF Mindcrest is a dynamic and innovative Legal Services Company with a global presence. We are seeking a talented and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team at our Chicago office. This role will be responsible for providing front-line IT support to our employees, handling remote support cases, and collaborating with international IT support staff.
Main Duties:• Provide technical support to employees using Windows-based laptops, addressing hardware and softwareissues promptly and effectively.• Diagnose and troubleshoot end-user problems, including network connectivity, printer issues, email, andsoftware applications.• Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and software applications.• Collaborate with the Technology team to implement and support IT policies, procedures, and bestpractices.• Manage and troubleshoot wireless internet connectivity for office users.• Assist in maintenance and upkeep of office-based servers, network devices and other data center. equipment.• Support video conferencing solutions, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.• Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues and manage equipment warranty andservice agreements.• Assist in IT asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement.• Stay current with industry trends and advancements to provide proactive support and recommendations.

Skills/ Competencies:• Strong proficiency in supporting Windows-based laptops and operating systems.• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.• Good understanding of supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centre equipment.• Experience with remote support tools and coordinating with international teams.• Familiarity with video conferencing solutions and wireless connectivity.• Familiarity with IT security best practices and antivirus solutions.• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
Education/ Qualification:• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree or academic qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.• Working experience of at least 2 years or more in professional IT-Infrastructure Support environment, preferably in a legal services or related industry.• Proven experience as an IT Support engineer or in a similar role with a strong emphasis on customer support.
