We are currently seeking a full-time Academic Technology Support Specialist to join our team of exceptionally motivated and passionate professionals. Overview:

Academic Technology Support Specialists will work closely with our academic team and provide IT support for all aspects of education including assistance with development and enhancement of instructional activities. Provides helpdesk support to MDT Institute faculty, staff, and students. Responsible for maintaining and implementing preventive measures for equipment that includes network components, computers, servers, audio-visual, video conference equipment, and other classroom electronics. The person works on a flexible schedule, Monday - Friday, between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with providing basic training and technical support to learners in settings such as classrooms, labs, and distance learning mediums.
  • Assists with the design and development of multimedia learning materials.
  • Assists with school-wide user login support and print management.
  • Responds and troubleshoots for hardware and software problems.
  • Responds to faculty and staff needs for operational issues and provides assistance with operating equipment.
  • Performs campus repairs, preventative maintenance and functionality testing of staff, computer labs, and all classroom equipment.
  • Provides training workshops to students, faculty and staff on the varying technologies at the site.
  • Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Timely address IT tickets and requests to full resolutions.
  • Participate in professional development to stay abreast of industry best practices and current technology trends.
  • Provides training and/or support for learning technology tools and platforms.
  • Provides support for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and disseminating data as requested.
  • Provides support for faculty development and engagement programs and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
