Job Title: Logistics Assistant

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant to support a variety of logistical functions including sourcing, dispatching, receiving and managing shipping documentation. You will be responsible for coordinating shipping schedules, creating necessary documentation, and ensuring effective communication across all the departments. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer expectations and maintain efficient operations.

Major Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Serve as point of contact for customers on any Logistics related issues
• Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests
• Track orders to ensure timely deliveries
• Address customer inquiries professionally and promptly
• Prepare shipping documents (like invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading)
• Schedule deliveries for our drivers and warehouse staff
• Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers and customers
• Collaborate with Customer service, Accounting, and Purchasing to resolve issues or queries they may have
• Responsible for all routine vehicle maintenance of the delivery truck & van
• Provide support to the Sales Department in servicing clients as required (quotes, availability, information)
• Provide suggestions within area of responsibility to Logistics Manager as needed
• Proactively identify issues and implement solutions.
• Follow procedures in processing all non-conforming goods or returns & report to Claim Department

• Customer Service Experience
• Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges and find solutions
• Computer-savvy mainly with Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
