Overview

Are you a rockstar customer facing employee with barista skills and looking for a new opportunity with a super cool, growing company?

We are looking for a Barista & Donuteur to join us at Dough Joy, Seattle's only 100% plant based donut shop! This position will be at a NEW SHOP OPENING SOON, so we're looking for some amazing team members to help open this shop.

You will be responsible for working helping provide excellent coffee and an amazing customer experience to all our guests.

You may be asked/required on a infrequent basis to cover shifts at other locations in West Seattle or Capitol Hill. If this is not possible, please let us know in the interview.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation required or live within walking distance (98107)
• Must have incredible customer service skills and be able to connect with customers
• Barista/Coffee experience REQUIRED
• Must have experience opening & closing espresso machine, working on a manual machine, and be competent dialing in coffee throughout the day
• Must be a hard worker with a positive work ethic
• Must have the ability to adapt and navigate hurdles
• Must have the ability and willingness to communicate suggestions, issues, or solutions to enhance the employee or customer service experience
• Must be a team player
• Must be a multitasker with great attention to detail
• Must have cleanliness and organizational skills
• WA State food handler card is mandatory upon hire

Schedule

• Open Availability Required: Wednesday-Monday (Tuesdays off)
• 2-3 days/week scheduled (option to work more likely available)
• 14-18/hr week
• 2 days off in a row minimum
• Schedule will range from 6:15a open shifts, to closing at midnight on Friday & Saturday (note: we can work with you to set a recurring schedule so weekly it is similar/same)
• Schedule released 2 weeks in advance

Pay

• $17.25/hour Tips (Including tips, total wage typically amounts to $24 - $28 per hour)
• Tip Guarantee offered at $24; the company will ensure you will not make under $24/hr
