Looking for a passionate Kitchen Cleaner to join our team at our production facility in University Village area/Laurelhurst (zip code 98105). At Dough Joy, we do donuts differently, as we make tasty yeast raised donuts without any animal products in creative and fun flavors. You'll be part of our growing team!

As a Kitchen Cleaner, you'll be responsible for helping clean the kitchen, equipment, and dishes to reset the space for the rest of the baking team. This position would be a great fit for someone who has an incredible attention to detail, is reliable, and enjoys cleaning.

Duties Include

• Experience: Previous experience in janitorial or kitchen cleaning roles is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Must demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to company standards.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to complete cleaning duties within specified timeframes.
• Knowledge of Cleaning Procedures: Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical handling to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Reliability: Dependable and punctual attendance is crucial for maintaining cleanliness standards and fulfilling job responsibilities.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet business needs.
• Teamwork: Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment to achieve common goals.
• Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer Service Skills: Some roles may require interaction with customers or other staff members, necessitating good interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Organization: Ability to organize cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently to maximize productivity and maintain a tidy workspace.

Requirements

• Must be willing and open to learning, trial, and error, and adapting to changing situations
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift
• Communicate effectively with other team members & management

Schedule

• Schedule: Thurs-Mon (time varies and may end earlier or later depending on day/batch size ).
• 6a-10a (approx, flexible but must be in the morning)
• 16-20/hr week

Pay

• $18/hour

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
