Product Marketing Manager, Insurance Insider 

Overview: 

At Insurance Insider, product marketing is responsible for crafting and delivering the product value proposition, driving product engagement and retention through a superb user experience, and equipping our commercial team with the right messaging and materials to successfully drive subscription sales.

The Product Marketing Manager will develop and execute thoughtful product marketing strategies that directly result in subscription revenue growth, leveraging channels including website, email, social, and search. Reporting into the Director of Marketing, this individual will work closely with Lifecycle Marketing, Product, Sales, and Editorial teams.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Optimize the user experience across website and newsletters, including development of landing page, hubs, reporting/data, and new features that drive conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction 
  • Conduct customer and audience segment research to develop personas and ideal customer profiles (ICPs), and tailor messaging and product features to map to their needs 
  • Develop marketing and sales collateral (one-pagers, presentations, case studies, etc.) that effectively convey our unique value propositions; conduct ongoing training for the sales team to ensure proficiency and consistency with key messaging 
  • Establish client feedback loops to keep abreast of client needs and pain points; communicate this feedback to the appropriate stakeholders and formulate action plans to address 
  • Develop go-to-market plans to introduce new products and features, driving awareness and engagement amongst current subscribers and across the market 
  • Be an expert on our competitors and the marketplace overall, effectively leveraging market insights to differentiate our products and stay ahead of the competition 
  • Present results, learnings, and recommendations to leadership team, demonstrating the impact of all activities on subscription revenue
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across sales and marketing to work towards shared revenue goals 
  • Support projects to optimize or development new pricing and packaging 

 KPIs: 

  • Subscription revenue (Annual Recurring Revenue/ARR) 
  • Sales win rate 
  • Product engagement (website and newsletter) 
  • Landing page conversion rates 

 Skills/experience: 

  • 4 years’ experience in a product marketing role (B2B experience preferred) 
  • Experience with B2B digital subscriptions and/or SaaS products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Comfort with analytics and ability to tie campaigns to revenue results 
  • Tech-savvy and quick-to-learn (or have prior knowledge on) how to operate platforms such as our paywall platform (Zephr), CRM (Pardot/Salesforce), and CMS (Brightspot) 
  • Creative skills are a plus, especially proficiency with Canva or other design tools to produce sales and marketing assets

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce thoughtful, high-quality marketing assets 
  • Results driven with a strong focus on commercial success 
  • Ability to build and foster excellent relationships with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple priorities and keeping to deadlines 
  • Innovative mind-set with eagerness to try new things and continuously improve
