DCLI is Hiring an IT Program Manager Near Charlotte, NC

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring their successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. The IT Program Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project and/or product managers, business teams, technical teams, executives, and vendors, to drive the successful execution of strategic IT initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of IT project management methodologies and practices.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple projects within the program
  • Coordinate resources, including project and/or product managers, business teams, technical teams, and external vendors, to ensure timely and quality delivery of project deliverables
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive consensus and resolve conflicts
  • Provide regular updates and reports on program status, budget utilization, and risk mitigation strategies to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Mentor and coach project managers and team members to foster professional growth and development
  • Serve as an active member on the Capitalized Labor Committee by assisting with business case development and IT project prioritization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree a plus
  • Proven experience 5 years in IT program management, managing complex projects and programs from initiation to closure
  • Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and experience with project management tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and proactively implement solutions
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience in the IT industry, with knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), infrastructure projects, and emerging technologies
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools
  • Experience working in the transportation industry is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
