Job Description

ProSidian is seeking a Program Manager to support The United States International Development Finance Corporation(“DFC”) engagement for Africa Investment Advisors program in Africa. DFC’s goal is to increase private capital investment in sub-Saharan Africa as a foreign policy and development priority. There is growing recognition the U.S. needs to effectively deploy and coordinate its economic tools to help develop, facilitate, expedite, and mitigate the risk of commercial transactions between the United States and Africa.

The recently enacted Better Utilization of Investments Leading to Development Act (BUILD Act) expanded tools and increased authorities that allow the DFC to support a greater number of commercial transactions, including project finance, insurance and, private equity fund investments. DFC requires sufficient human resources in sub-Saharan Africa to establish a strong business development presence on the ground in priority locations and working closely with other U.S. government agencies to ensure responsiveness to private sector needs.

Qualifications

• Deliver periodic reports to client with the following deliverables to the COR:

o Transaction Pipeline Tracker shall be submitted every two weeks;

o Completed entries must include hyperlinks and references to supporting transaction materials and AIA's meeting notes and work product;

o Copies of completed work product submitted as per guidance from DFC every two weeks;

o Weekly work plan for each AIA to be submitted by or before close of business each Friday;

o Participate in Transaction Status Meetings, as requested by the COR, but a minimum of twice monthly;

o Interim updates on specific time-sensitive meetings or activities and make supporting documents available where exigent or time-sensitive for DFC business, as requested by the COR;

o A current roster of Key Personnel, including their telephonic and email contact information and geographic location;

• Establish systems and processes based on international standards of program management and contract administration;

• Familiarity with mechanisms to catalyze commercial lending or financing projects;

• Perform project assistance activities with key donors and stakeholders;

• Ensure coordinated activities are sequenced appropriately; and

• Willingness to travel regularly during the duration of the contract.

Qualifications:

In order to perform the statement of work set forth for this client project, the Program Manager must meet both the minimum education and experience requirements set forth:

· Bachelor’s degree in management or administration, business, or a related field relevant to development finance;

· At least five years demonstrable experience with program management or oversight and delivery of finance or consulting projects in developing or emerging countries;

· Demonstrated experience and demonstrated skills in planning, procurement, monitoring and reporting in multiple project environments and in the context of donor-funded development project;

· Experience from finance sector, specifically in the development finance, is highly valued; and

· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
