Datum Commercial Contracting is Hiring a Construction Jr Project Manager (Commercial/Ground Up) Near Austin, TX
We are seeking a Construction Jr Project Manager (Commercial/Ground Up) to join our team!
You will participate in intensive learning environment designed to teach you how to oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation for ground up construction with the possibility to transfer into a Lead Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Must live in the Austin, TX area; project travel is periodically required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in tenet improvement (TI) and/or big box retail construction management or other related fields
- Demonstrate a level of advanced knowledge in a major trade (such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or drywall)
- Demonstrate the ability to function and/or learn to become a strong project leader for all involved parties involved (Client, Subcontractors/Vendors and Datum Team)
- Familiarity with construction management software; Procore a plus
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
