The Opportunity: 

Reporting to the CRO, the Director of Solutions Engineering at DataGrail will operate as a player/coach - both leading the pre-sales strategy and scaling the team as well as enabling our revenue teams to deliver on their revenue goals by owning the technical aspects of the sales process. 

You will be in the driver's seat defining and scaling Solutions Engineering for DataGrail in the ever-evolving space of data privacy and have a direct impact on our revenue goals. This is an opportunity to make an outsized contribution at an early-stage company that is transforming how brands manage data privacy.

Our Solutions Engineers partner closely with revenue teams to qualify opportunities, deliver powerful demonstrations of DataGrail capabilities and perform deep technical and business discovery across our mid-market and enterprise segments.

The Skill Set:

• Lead, mentor, manage and grow a team of Solutions Engineers to achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Work hands-on with key prospects and own the technical relationship including managing demos, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
• Create, and deliver product demonstrations to both technical and non technical audiences including:
• Develop and implement scalable strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share across all of our market segments. 
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve sales engineering processes.
• Provide detailed requirements, product feedback and market insights to DataGrail’s Product and Engineering teams.

Within 90 Days You'll:

• Have full command of DataGrail’s product offerings and be able to explain a variety of our technical topics to varied audiences.
• Partner with Account Executives in order to optimize demos and deal strategy: matching of requirements to capabilities, creating demo flows, and building technical confidence in all market segments and for all of our buyers.

Within 180 Days You'll:

• Update and implement Solutions Engineering best practices
• Engage with DataGrail Product & Engineering teams to support and communicate customer requests around product roadmaps, customizations, or enhanced product functionality.
• Establish yourself as an integral part of the DataGrail leadership team.
• Share knowledge across your team to upskill and provide development opportunities.

  • A predictable and repeatable motion across all of our target industries and market segments
