Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in payroll processing and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and withholdings
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements to employees
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist with the preparation of payroll reports for management review
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data is entered into the payroll system
- Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing

Skills:
- Proficient in using payroll software
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and regulations related to payroll and Human Resources.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry

-Assists in the administration of annual open enrollment period, including preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to comunícate changes and maintaining timely and accurate files.

-Administer all employee benefits program, including enrollments and terminations.

- Preform other related duties as required and assigned.
