Human Resources Coordinator - Deerfield, IL
Curion is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team. The HR Coordinator will play a key role in our organization, reporting to the Director of People and is responsible for carrying out responsibilities related to new hire onboarding, employee offboarding, benefits coordination, training and development initiatives and support ongoing HR projects. Success in this role relies on strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Onboarding
  • Prepare and schedule new-hire onboarding
  • Conduct new-hire HR orientations
Benefits
  • Coordinate new hire and QLE benefits setup and enrollment for medical/dental/vision/voluntary insurance and 401k
  • Educate new hires on all aspects of Curion benefits plans. Escalate questions to insurance brokers/partners
  • Coordinate benefits separation for medical/dental/vision/voluntary insurance and 401k
  • Escalate changes and employee concerns to appropriate parties (broker, People Director, etc.)
  • Assists in the management of the leave and disability program. Provides exceptional customer service to employees who are engaged in the leave of absence process.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for leave of absence programs, ensuring that each program is functioning according to policies, procedures, and all applicable laws.
Training and Development
  • Assist in performance management setup and implementation.
  • Coordinate & schedule training sessions and assist in execution, as well as reporting of, training and development initiatives.
  • Follow-up with employees periodically regarding specific training needs
Offboarding
  • Prepare offboarding forms, final paycheck letters and ensure all offboarding tasks are completed successfully
  • Ensure all company equipment is collected, and co. systems access terminated
Administrative
  • Support the company's mission, vision, and values daily, contributing to the creation of strategic goals that align with their core principles
  • Prepare, collect, and process all documents related to employment on-boarding and off-boarding changes (new hires, status changes, separations, etc).
  • Responsible for unemployment claims by reviewing claims, substantiating documentation, and preparing protests.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge on human resources programs/policies, benefit programs; escalates issues as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity across HR systems; audits data for compliance; provides ongoing and ad-hoc reporting to management.
  • Partner with IT to manage IT resources are setup and separated appropriately
  • Manage HR Inbox. Respond to requests and concerns from Employees and external parties. Escalate incoming questions as appropriate
  • Maintain human resources content on the company's SharePoint site.
  • Update policies and SOPs, forms and job descriptions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant/equivalent work experience required
  • At least 1 year of HR experience preferred
  • Strong ability to drive and complete projects required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Self-starter attitude
  • Comfort developing relationships in person and over the phone
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and flexible
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment and priorities to accommodate business needs
