We are seeking a NEPA Project Manager to manage, lead, develop, and execute our NEPA program for various infrastructure projects.
A fully remote candidate may be considered with the understanding that routine travel to Ohio will be necessary.
This position can be based in our Toledo, Columbus, or Cleveland office.
Desired Skills and Experience
• BS in engineering, planning, science, geology, or related engineering degree
• 10 years of experience with all aspects of NEPA projects, including proposal and report writing and project implementation
• VA and DoD NEPA experience desired
• Ohio DOT experience preferred
• Experience writing NEPA proposals and conducting business development activities
• Experience managing, developing and leading project teams
• Established knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
• Proficiency in technical writing of environmental documents Experience with public involvement and outreach
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Develop proposals for NEPA projects.
• Lead NEPA Program Business Development
• Lead NEPA Project Teams
• Develop and train additional NEPA Program Team members
• Lead NEPA environmental assessment projects.
• Review project requirements and implement the necessary projects steps to be in compliance with environmental regulations under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Collect and analyze social, economic and environmental data to be used in analyzing project impact and recommendations.
• Prepare NEPA documents, including Categorical Exclusions (CEs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).
• Prepare reports and regulatory permits and approvals in compliance with environmental laws.
• Researches and makes recommendations for new (non-VA) NEPA work.
• Develops and implements a business development plan.
• Leads, creates and implements public involvement activities, including developing public involvement plans, creating materials for communicating project information to the public, and participating in public and stakeholder meetings.
