General Description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the quality and aesthetics of the product through laboratory operations. QC Technician reports back to Quality Control Supervisor.

Competencies

• • Responsible for monitoring quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
  • Responsible for the correct recording and filing all relevant records/documentation
  • Ensures product is within specification before release to customer/market
  • Tests all samples submitted for quality testing
  • Must be able to maintain and upkeep instrument and laboratory equipment records
  • Must be able to clean and maintain Company property
  • Ensures all employees are following cGMP regulations
  • Assists with tasks delegated by the Quality Control Supervisor and Research and Development department
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must have good written and oral skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, effectively under pressure, and deadline-oriented environment

Training Competencies

• Must be familiar or have the ability to learn cGMP, GLP, and NSF regulations in regards to cosmetics, drugs, and dietary supplements.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Academic exposure to chemistry, biology, and/or microbiological sciences

Experience

• Demonstrate proficiency in: algebra, following directions, using available references, and situational problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage and maintain confidential information
• Ability to maintain professional standards and demonstrate sound judgment during peaks periods of activity
• Knowledge of computers, including (but not only) Microsoft Office Suite
