Facility Security Officer (Part Time)

Part-Time (20-24 hours per week)

They design & manufacture cost-effective, radiation-hardened systems and have a proven history supplying the sector.

Position Description :

We are seeking a casual / part-time Facility Security Officer (FSO) to maintain the Company’s personnel, industrial, and physical security.

This is a trusted role where you would be the Company’s liaison with DCSA and perform administrative duties which include managing the Insider Threat program, the security training requirements and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with the maintaining of employee personnel security clearance and visit requests matters in DISS and NBIS
• Assist with the maintaining of company security files and keeping them updated
• Manage Insider Threat Program
• Interface with the assigned regional DSCA Representatives for inspections and other related issues
• Maintain DSCA compliant Insider Threat Program
• Maintain Company profile and submit required reports in NISS
• Administer personnel security indoctrinations and debriefs
• Manage and report on company-wide security education and training
• Processes and manages outgoing visit requests and approves incoming visitors
• Prepare, track and monitor classified contracts DD-254s
• Supports the construction, accreditation, and occupation of new program spaces
• Maintains Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and National Industrial Security System (NISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)
• Briefings, debriefings, clearance processing

Requirements :

• 4 years of experience in Security
• Strong working knowledge of DISS, NISS, NBIS (Essential)
• Completion of the FSO Program Management for Non-Possessing Facility Curriculum course or ability to complete within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), and Sead 3
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Completion of Insider Threat Program Management course
• Experience conducting DCSA Security reviews

Security Clearance :

Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Work Schedule :

Remote position, casual status with the ability to travel to the San Diego facility 5% of the time.

Salary Range : $20-$30 per hour

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.

S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
