Description

Our WasteWorks Division is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to service the Birmingham and Decatur markets calling on commercial and residential construction customers and job sites to market our waste container and roll-off service. The successful candidate must be an early riser that works every day with a purpose demonstrating integrity and honesty. The individual should always follow through on commitments and act in the best interest of the organization and customer. Personal drive and motivation are essential to success in this role.

Compensation

Base salary plus commission, vehicle plan, technology plan, benefits package

Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily visits to construction sites to find opportunities
• Call on contractors using competitor's services and sell our services
• Develop and manage customer’s experience to ensure satisfaction
• Grow our revenue and customer base
• Proactively plan and execute sales calls maintaining a high rate of daily interactions
• Communicate clearly, both written and verbally, and be an active listener
• Incorporate a strong follow up procedure with customers and co-workers

Requirements

• Must have good communication and customer service skills
• Aptitude for selling and willingness to develop and learn new selling skills
• Effective written communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of office procedures
• Good organizational ability

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree preferred

License & Certification:

• ·Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment, equipment shop environment, or job site. Noise, fumes, and chemicals associated with a shop environment is expected. Work may be performed on various job sites and terrain. Exposure to risk and all weather conditions is associated with this position. Must be able to climb on and off trucks, cranes, and heavy mobile equipment safely. The employee will be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Driving at night
• Works outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
