Human Resources Generalist

Position Summary: This position will serve as the HR Generalist for a healthcare facility in two of our Alabama offices; Birmingham and Prattville Area. The position will require a presence in each office 2-3 days per week.

The HR Generalist will serve an integral administrative team member for both office and will assist with the administration of day-to-day activities of the facility. This position will be responsible for coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of personnel and enforcing company policy and procedures.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Human Resources practices, functions, and applicable employment law and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Skills in Microsoft Office required.
• Skills and knowledge of Kronos HRIS preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or Business Administration preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Verifiable 8-10 years human resources background along with proven reliability is required.
• Strong labor law and compliance knowledge, EEOC, ADA, ADEA, HIPAA, FMLA, FLSA, USERRA, DOL, etc.
• Strong MS Office Suite Knowledge
• HRIS Experience- Kronos experience a plus.

HIPPA/PHI Access

This position has access to protected health information (PHI) for the purpose of providing service and supports. But no authorization to disclose PHI for any reason. Access is limited to the information needed to provide the services and supports. Any unauthorized use or disclosure of PHI will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
