- Oversee all financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with program managers to assist in budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.
- Assist in grant financial reporting and compliance.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
- Stay current with changes in nonprofit accounting regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks (experience is a plus) and other financial software for accurate financial management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
