Job Summary: The Controller will play a key role in overseeing and managing financial activities related to government contracts. This position requires a deep understanding of government accounting principles, compliance regulations, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial success and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of success in government contracting environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day financial operations related to government contracts.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with government regulations and accounting standards.
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and revenue recognition, providing regular reports and analysis to key stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of government contracting regulations and ensure strict compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the development and maintenance of government contract budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with project managers to analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare for and manage external audits related to government contracts.
• Coordinate with auditors, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination on financial matters related to government contracts.
• Provide financial expertise and guidance to support business development efforts in securing new government contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in government contracting financial management, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role.
