Position Overview:Edgesource is actively hiring for a qualified and credentialed financial professional for the role of Corporate Controller with experience within the federal government contracting community. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in financial management, accounting, taxation, and auditing, with a focus on compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), DCAA and cost accounting standards (CAS), and contract procurement & administration. The person in this role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for banking relationships and to the executive level.


Job Duties:

  • Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including month-end, quarter/yearly closings, cash flow management, and budget preparation.
  • Lead and manage a small team of internal and outsourced accounting professionals, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payroll, and accounts payable, and adherence to US GAAP.
  • Maintain expertise in FAR and DFARS laws & regulations, ensuring compliance in all financial activities.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly indirect rate trends, implementing robust reporting infrastructure for cost-plus, T&M, and other contract types.
  • Manage the assembly of key financial information and interpret results for internal executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with contract management teams to ensure contract compliance and support proposal efforts.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and CPAs for annual audits and corporate tax filings.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and developmental opportunities for the finance and accounting team.
  • Implement and monitor financial controls, ensuring compliance with relevant business and taxation regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems, policies, and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • US citizen who is eligible for a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another related field.
  • 8 years of related accounting and financial management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial management, accounting, taxation, and auditing.
  • In-depth understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), DCAA and cost accounting standards (CAS), and contract procurement & administration.
  • Proven ability in budgeting, cost management, and activity-based costing.
  • Deep experience with online financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing finance and accounting teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing financial controls and improving financial processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements in a government contracting environment.


Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Active US government security clearance.
  • Microsoft Business Dynamics / NAV365 / Business Central.
  • Certified Public Account (CPA) credential.
