Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a motivated and detailed Junior Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for general accounting and financial processes including but not limited to, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Manage general accounting and financial processes

• Responsible for all daily accounting tasks such as Retail Statement posting and Accounts Payable
  related to Freight vendors
• Manage Customer sales tax exemption certificates
• Process sales tax credits
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and
  expenses)
• Reconcile ledger accounts
• Assist with audit responses
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication

• Ongoing communication with branches and customers
• Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain professional and ethical behavior with emphasis on confidentiality and integrity
• Ongoing communication with Purchasing, Sales, and Shipping teams to ensure that information is entered and reviewed to ensure timely and accurate P.O.s and S.O.s to support customer orders
• Communication with applicable departments to ensure that daily retail statements are posted accurately and
  in a timely manner

Physical Requirements

• This position will be performed at a desk/workstation in an air-conditioned, nonhazardous office environment,
  with standard office equipment available
• The employee is frequently required to sit and must be able to remain in a stationary position while performing
  the essential duties of this position.

Compensation Structure and Typical Work/Shift Hours

• Exempt (Salary)
• Shift or work hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
