JOB SUMMARY
The Training Specialist I is responsible for delivering basic training to new claims department employees. This position focuses on introducing new hires to company policies, procedures, and software systems, as well as providing foundational knowledge in claims processing. The Training Specialist I work under the guidance of higher-tier trainers and assists with training logistics and documentation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist in the preparation and delivery of basic training sessions for new claims department employees.
Provide support to new hires during training sessions, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
Collaborate with senior trainers to develop training materials and resources.
Assist in organizing training schedules and logistics, including room setup and materials preparation.
Participate in training evaluation activities, gathering feedback from trainees and assisting in performance assessments.
Maintain accurate records of training attendance and performance.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Field of Study: Education, Liberal Arts, Business, or a related discipline
Experience: 3 or more years of related experience (LTCI experience preferred)
Scope of Job:
Prior experience in claims processing or related field preferred.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal; and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of training principles and methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
Performs work under limited supervision.
