The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs and materials to support the learning and development needs of our employees. The ideal candidate will have a passion for training and education, strong instructional design skills, and the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
We are only considering candidates who reside locally in Austin, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Needs Analysis: Conduct training needs assessments to identify learning gaps, skill deficiencies, and training requirements across various departments and job roles. Collaborate with stakeholders to define learning objectives and performance goals.
Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive training curricula, modules, and materials to address identified learning needs. Utilize instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and multimedia tools to create engaging and interactive training content.
Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in-person and virtually using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods. Adapt training delivery to accommodate diverse learning styles, preferences, and skill levels.
Training Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements to training content and delivery methods.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Manage the organization's learning management system, including course enrollment, tracking, reporting, and maintenance. Ensure that training records are accurate and up-to-date in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Subject Matter Expert Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and currency of training content. Incorporate feedback and updates to reflect changes in policies, procedures, or best practices.
New Employee Onboarding: Develop and deliver orientation and onboarding programs for new hires to familiarize them with company policies, culture, systems, and processes. Provide ongoing support and resources to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees.
Professional Development: Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in training and instructional design. Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in training delivery and adult learning theory.
