BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

This position is critical to the overall success of the organization and its strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will understand the construction business. The position is designed for an individual that is used to meeting corporate revenue goals as well as solution selling to identify value for our prospects and their construction needs.

Job Purpose and ideal candidate information:
Drive success of sales activity. Ideal candidates for this position are entrepreneurial and innovative by nature, having managed and developed their own sales territory and book of business in past roles. Candidates must have had demonstrated success generating and closing business opportunities, meeting or exceeding sales quotas and communicating effectively. They need to work well with all levels of internal and external customers, show initiative and be highly productive.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contacting multiple new prospects every day via phone and email and in person to secure new business.
• Leverage established customer relationships to grow follow-on business.
• Draft sales quotes and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Maximize productivity through calendar management, utilizing CRM and leveraging internal relationships.
• Develop goals and strategy to achieve accretive new business acquisition within viable timelines that will be mutually established with your manager.
• Will assist in Accounts Receivable when the General Manager deems it necessary.
• Maintain the highest level of customer service possible in all aspects of internal and external communications.

Qualifications:

• · 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in business development / sales, preferably in the construction industry.
• · Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience is a must.
• · Strong communication and persuasion skills; can work independently with a keen sense of urgency
• · Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-structured environment.
• · Team player willing to step in to help others, provide input to help the team grow and go the extra mile

Compensation:

• · Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000
• · Commission: Uncapped (based on quota, 75,000-$100,000) Total compensation = $125,000

• CRM Software: 3 years (Preferred)
