Full-Time House Manager & Nanny
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced House Manager/Nanny to ensure the seamless operation of our household and provide attentive care for our children. The ideal candidate will adeptly manage both estate operations—including the oversight of maintenance, security, and housekeeping—as well as offer comprehensive childcare.
This multifaceted role demands a proactive, reliable individual who can effectively multitask and respond to the dynamic needs of a bustling family environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the daily operations of the household, ensuring cleanliness, order, and maintenance of property standards.
· Skillfully manage the coordination of household services, including maintenance and repairs, by liaising with appropriate professionals to ensure all aspects of the home are functioning optimally.
· Ensure that the housekeeper on staff upholds a high standard of cleanliness and organization, directing them to wash sheets and blankets, remake beds weekly, and perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom cleaning daily or as needed.
· Supervise and coordinate activities related to children, including school drop-offs, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
· Plan and prepare family meals, manage groceries, and oversee the maintenance of kitchen supplies.
· Oversee and direct household staff, contractors, and vendors, ensuring all services are executed efficiently.
· Act as the main point of contact for family matters requiring coordination with external parties.
· Manage household budgets and expenses, ensuring all activities are performed within financial constraints.
· Develop and implement effective house management policies and procedures.
· Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the home.
· Organize and manage family events and activities.
· Handle pet care responsibilities, including feeding, walking, and vet appointments for several dogs.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a professional nanny or house management role, with at least 2-4 years of experience.
· Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Knowledgeable in childcare, property maintenance, and security.
· Capable of handling budgets and financial management.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to travel, and possess or obtain a passport.
· Comfortable in a role that requires discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
Compensation & Benefits:
· Salary: $45,000 to $52,000 per year, based on experience, references, and scheduling flexibility. Additional compensation provided for overtime and overnight responsibilities.
· Benefits: Two weeks of paid vacation, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.
· Additional Perks: A vehicle and fuel are provided for use during working hours to facilitate transportation duties.
