Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floor Nurse to join our team at Northlake House. The Floor Nurse plays a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As a Floor Nurse, you will work closely with residents and their families to ensure their health, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Care:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents based on their individual care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their overall health regularly.
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Document and maintain accurate records of residents' conditions and care provided.

Health Assessments:

• Conduct health assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update care plans.
• Identify any changes in residents' health and report concerns to the Director of Nursing.
• Implement and adjust care plans as necessary to meet residents' changing needs.

Family Communication:

• Communicate effectively with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' health and well-being.
• Address any questions or concerns from residents and their families with empathy and professionalism.

Safety and Infection Control:

• Follow all safety protocols and infection control practices to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
• Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures as required.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including Certified Nursing Assistants, physicians, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state nursing license (RN or LPN, as required by state regulations).
• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassion, patience, and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing senior living communities is a plus.
