Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Purchasing to oversee our procurement and supply chain operations for our healthcare company. The ideal candidate will have a strong helathcare background in contract management, negotiation, and vendor management. As the Director of Purchasing, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services for our organization.
Duties:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier management
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate potential suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
- Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory
- Implement and maintain systems, such as Oracle EBS, to streamline purchasing processes
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Proficiency in using procurement software systems, such as Oracle EBS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
