Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

• Strategically analyze and develop freight lanes to optimize operational efficiency.
• Analyze performance and profitability of the fleet of drivers, actively leading continuous improvement activities within the organization.
• Manage and improve dispatch operational structure and procedures.

Team Management:

• Hire, train, and consistently evaluate the performance of the Operations team.
• Develop relationships with all internal departments and leaders to achieve business results.
• Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines.

Strategic Planning:

• Create, develop, and monitor KPI metrics for operations, ensuring Driver Managers meet specific goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Collaborate with sales department to develop sales plans, forecasts, and ensure retention and expansion of services to clients.
• Track and forecast operational trends and analysis.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Ensure operational reports are accurate and communicated effectively within the team.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints, collaborating with the sales department to better serve company customers.
• Formulate policies and procedures in accordance with HR regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in the transportation industry.
• Minimum 5 years of transportation experience with knowledge of operations, clerical procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Ability to effectively manage a team, including in-person and remote employees.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact with multiple levels of management and employees.
• Goal-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed expectations.
• Strong negotiation skills with customers, brokers, and Fleet Managers.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
