Our esteemed nursing home facility is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our dedicated team. As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, fostering a supportive environment for our staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resident care.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to enhance interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
  • Clinical Oversight:
  • Implement and monitor nursing care standards, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident care plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing evidence-based practices to elevate the quality of care provided.
  • Staff Development:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to ensure a skilled and compassionate team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training programs to keep staff abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and enhance resident care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure the facility meets and exceeds regulatory requirements for nursing care.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster open communication channels with residents, families, and staff to address concerns and promote a positive environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to optimize resident care plans.
  • Act as a liaison between the nursing team and the executive leadership, providing regular updates on operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with a preference for candidates with prior Director of Nursing experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing home facilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
