The Nursing Director Professional Development and Practice will be responsible for:

• Provides local oversight for the adoption and sustained integration of the nursing care delivery model and interdisciplinary model of care
• Provides oversight for the sustained integration of Nursing Practice Councils and incorporates locally the recommendations of Governance Councils and Nursing Specialty Committees
• Provides oversight for creating local interest/awareness and promoting action/adoption and sustained integration of nurse champion programs.
• Provides oversight, participates in and supports local associate safety programs.
• Supports implementation and utilization of system level specialty practice programs, councils and committees.
• Partners with local Nursing Professional Development Specialist & Informatics Leads and Directors to support new educational programs or ongoing classes, conferences, or skills fairs based on annual competencies or observed gaps in nursing practice.
• Supervises direct reports, as applicable, to develop and meet professional performance goals and objectives as well as practice-related local and system nursing goals. Provides coaching and counseling as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
