We are seeking a dynamic and passionate ECEAP Site Manager to lead our Spokane area classrooms. 

Position Overview: 

As our ECEAP Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our early learning classrooms. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education to children while also fostering a positive and collaborative environment for staff members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the center staff, including teachers, assistants, and administrative personnel. Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement. 
  • Curriculum Implementation: Oversee the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and educational programs that align with early learning standards and promote holistic child development. 
  • Child and Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with children and families, ensuring open communication, addressing concerns, and providing support as needed. Create opportunities for family involvement in their child's learning journey. 
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children and staff, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Implement policies and procedures for emergency preparedness, hygiene, and sanitation. 
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals. Coordinate with administrative staff for procurement, maintenance, and inventory management. 
  • Staff Development: Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for staff members, including training sessions, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and continuous learning. 

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age or older.
  • Have knowledge of child development as evidenced by professional reference, education, experience, and on-the-job performance. Have written proof of education, including an ECE State Certificate or equivalent as a minimum, an associate or higher degree with the equivalent of 30 college quarter credits of adult education, human development, human services, family support, social work, early childhood education, child development, psychology, or another field directly related to their job responsibilities required. These 30 credits may be included in the degree or in addition to the degree or a DCYF-approved credential from a comprehensive and competency-based Family/Social Service training program that increases knowledge and skills in providing direct services to families. 
  • Meet the STARS requirement and be listed in the state training and registry system (STARS) for childcare center directors. 
  • Experience in program management and supervision. Completed training in preventing, identifying, and reporting child abuse and neglect. 
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in areas indicated above. 

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Current pediatric CPR/first aid certificate/blood-borne certification 
  • Current Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card 
  • Valid driver's license and insurance. 

Clearances:  

  • Tested negative on the Mantoux tuberculosis (TB) skin test in the past 12 months 
  • MERIT Portable Background Check and able to pass annual background checks.
