We are welcoming applications for our On-Site Direct Support Professional Security position who will work on-site in a residential setting with the children and staff. On-Site DSP Security will be responsible for the following daily responsibilities:

· Ensure the supervision and SAFETY of all on-site staff and youth.

· Coordinate transportation arrangements for youth to go to appointments and other activities

Provide support and training in personal hygiene, grooming (haircuts), preparing meals, cleaning skills, socialization, recreation, self-medication, sewing, and menu planning and food purchasing.

· Oversee the safety of daily operations within the program to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for communication between the Program Director and/or Manager and the shift support staff to provide information, updates and tasks.
  • Assess the daily living needs of the youth and ensure safety of the youth and support staff.
  • Mitigate conflicts between staff, youths, and outside entities.

· Maintain correct weekly time reporting and ensure the safety while on-site.

· Daily documentation of progress notes, problems or other information, which occurred during the shift.

Support the Program Director through informal supervision and providing staff with ongoing safety and providing mentorship when opportunities are present.

Required Training:

· All new staff will acquire 16 hours of pre-service training during the first six weeks, then 20 hours for the next five months. Training will include a combination of orientation, instruction and on the job training.

· Staff will receive instruction, IBMP and ISTP for each client that they will be responsible for providing direct services before staff works alone with that individual.

· Orientation to the philosophy, goals, policies, procedures, and program services will be completed the first two weeks for staff working over 20 hours per week and four weeks for staff working less than 20 hours per week.

You will also be provided with training in CPR/First-Aid; Bloodborne Pathogens; Behavioral Management; Mandatory Reporter Training and Right Response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 21 years of age
  • A valid drivers license and car insurance
  • Possess a passion for caregiving and a desire to help protect while fostering others.
  • Previous leadership or management experience
  • One (1) year experience providing care to children in a healthcare setting or have at least 6 months of similar, full-time experience with vulnerable populations or be attending classes at an accredited college or university related to caring for vulnerable populations.
  • Six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in behavioral health management

Salary:

We offer a starting pay of $21- $23 per hour depending on experience and education, and offer performance based salary increases on an annual basis.
