Professional Development and Training Overview

Comprehensive Initial Training:

· Pre-Service Training: New employees will undergo an intensive 16-hour training program within their first six weeks, followed by an additional 20 hours of advanced training over the subsequent five months. This curriculum is thoughtfully designed to incorporate orientation, theoretical instruction, and practical, on-the-job training.

· Specialized Client Care Preparation: Prior to independent assignment, staff will be thoroughly trained in Positive Behavior Management Plan (PBMP) and Individualized Service Treatment Plans (ISTP) to ensure readiness for direct service provision to each assigned client.

· In-depth Orientation: Comprehensive orientation covering our foundational philosophy, objectives, operational policies, procedures, and the spectrum of services offered. This is structured over the first two weeks for employees scheduled for more than 20 hours weekly, and within four weeks for those with schedules under 20 hours per week.

· Extended Training Modules: Employees will benefit from specialized training in critical areas, including CPR/First-Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Behavioral Management, Mandatory Reporter Training, Trauma-informed Care, Verbal De-escalation, Right Response, Medication Management, Diabetes Care, and Seizure Medication Management.

Leadership Development:

· Supervisory Training: In addition to the foundational training, supervisory staff will receive targeted instruction in intervention strategies, client strength utilization, and behavior modification techniques. Leadership development will be further supported through workshops and personalized coaching, aimed at refining and enhancing leadership capabilities.

Position Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

· Educational Attainment: Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.

· Age Criteria: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

· Licensing Requirements: A current and valid driver's license, along with proof of car insurance.

· Personal Competencies: A demonstrated passion for caregiving, with a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for others.

· Experience: At least one year of experience in providing care to children within a healthcare or similar therapeutic setting is required.

· Leadership Background: Previous experience in a leadership or management role is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certification: A certification in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable.

· Specialized Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health management is preferred, indicating a strong foundation in mental health support and intervention strategies.

Salary:

We offer a starting pay of $21/hour depending on experience and education, and offer performance based salary increases after 90 day probation period and on an annual basis thereafter.
