Community Association Management is Hiring a Director of Business Development Near Charlotte, NC

Job Description:

Acquire new HOA’s as clients by diligently prospecting for HOA Board members/Presidents and clearly communicating the value we will provide to them as clients; maintain relationships with current HOA clients to enhance their satisfaction and retain them as clients of the company; help the company map out a marketing/sales strategy that can be duplicated in other markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop prospecting avenues that lead to relationships with HOA Board members
  • Actively network in assigned markets to build pipeline of prospects
  • Respond to all requests for information received from advertising
  • Represent company at events, designing and setting up information booths as appropriate
  • Utilize and maintain CRM database for prospects and related activities
  • Meet with prospective clients to gather information on their HOA’s needs , wants and concerns
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations to address needs, wants and concerns of prospects
  • Close the sale with a reasonable percentage of HOA prospects
  • Work with Property Management in the transition of the prospects to client status
  • Stay in touch with new and existing clients to offer support and gather information on needs or concerns
  • Assist President in forming Marketing Plans to support the sales effort
  • Document marketing/sales procedures for replication in other markets
  • Report to the President regularly on pipeline status
  • Communicate within the company to ensure consistency of messages and accuracy of sales statements
  • Represent the company professionally at all times (appearance, demeanor, speaking and writing)
  • Participate in training of new associates
  • Annual review of client base for new pricing/ contract considerations
Required Experience:


Qualification Required

  • 3 - 5 years as an outside sales representative with strong close rate
  • Proven ability to prospect and network
  • Ability to prioritize and self-direct
  • Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing)
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Marketing or Sales—or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of HOA issues a plus
  • Ability to pass background assessment
  • Excellent driving record
