The Executive Sous Chef will be part of a team that includes an Executive Chef, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Bar Curator, Event Curator, as well as an Pastry Chef over our in house bakery, Trombone Bakery. . The Executive Sous Chef will answer directly to the Executive Chef and train team members; develop various menu items including those for special events; execute special events; consistently performance manage; & create and maintain a positive team culture..
The successful candidate will have effective communication skills; experience with team training and performance management; experience with a variety of cuisines; a dedication to safety culture; a working understanding of food cost and waste; organizational skills; attention to detail; the willingness and desire to work with the general public and a diverse team; and a genuine dedication to hospitality and guest experience.
The person in this position will be encouraged and expected to bring with them creativity, passion, and the willingness and desire to think outside the box.
The successful candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time; walk up and down stairs, sometimes multiple times a day; work in a hot and fast-paced environment; squat, twist, bend at the waist, and lift overhead. Additionally, this position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
In addition to the annual salary, this position receives monthly bonuses, downtown parking pass, company phone, concierge physician membership, insurance (at 6 months), and paid time-off.
