Are you a professionally persistent business development manager with experience selling large-scale commercial or multi-family flooring (or similar) projects in the New York area?

Are you seeking an opportunity where you can cherry pick your clients and work closely with estimators and project managers to make sure projects are delivered to a super -high standard?

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality flooring solutions specializing in large-scale commercial and multi-family projects, with a strong reputation for excellence. They are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their client base of general contractors and developers in the vibrant New York market.

As Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders in the New York area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and target key decision-makers at general contracting firms, developers, and architectural firms in New York.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to win new business and achieve revenue targets.
  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and industry influencers.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand your professional network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create accurate project estimates and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and experience needed for the Business Development Manager:

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development and sales within the commercial or multi-family flooring sector.
  • Strong network of contacts in the New York construction and development industry.
  • Ability to interpret and understand estimates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Familiarity with flooring products and construction processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Location: New York (remote opportunity)

Compensation: $150k - $190k OTE, depending on experience, plus benefits.
