Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager’s primary role is to ensure regulatory, customer, and company requirements are met at Cloverland Farms Dairy. The Manager’s is responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of quality control and sanitation programs and procedures necessary to meet internal and customer specific quality control standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with Staff and Operations leadership to ensure buy-in and commitment to quality assurance and food safety programs.
• Partner with Operations leadership to upgrade sanitation practices and Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the facility.
• Ensure all sanitation and food safety guidelines are met throughout the facility.
• Develop corrective action plans and monitor the results.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis and reports for customer complaints and production failures. Provide feedback to Sales for resolving customer complaints.
• Oversee all HACCP and all quality/food safety related programs to meet internal, regulatory, and/or customer requirements.
• Assist with the management of mock recall program.
• Partner with Safety Manager on monthly Food and Workplace Safety meetings and track progress of corrective actions identified to ensure completion.
• Organize food safety training documentation and tools and monitor effectiveness of the training programs.
• Interface with all regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and customers and ensure compliance with the facility.
• Help with the Sensory Evaluation process to ensure that all products are meeting company and customer standards.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures concerning safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• BS Degree – degree in Regulatory Compliance, Food Science or Dairy Science preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience inf a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Possess the ability to work independently, investigate areas of opportunity, solve problems, strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, PCQI and SQF with associated certification a plus
• Integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values, including proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Understands and interprets US regulations, guidance documents, and guidelines.
• Ability to research rules, codes, regulations, and laws.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and other job-related software applications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and kneel, bend, squat, reach, grip, push, pull and perform elevated work.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet).
• Allergens: We prepare products with milk ingredients. Team members must be able to work with this ingredient and participate in sensory.

Work Schedule

• Will primarily work early morning shift, Monday – Friday. At times, days/shifts may vary as necessary.
• 100% on-site
