Construction Estimator

Clipper Construction is seeking an estimator to join our fast growing commercial construction firm. We are looking for candidates who want to be part of a company's growth and who are excited by the opportunity to put processes and procedures in place to maximize the firm's efficiency and growth. Clipper Construction is a tech-focused construction firm and, ideally, would have a candidate who shares an interest in blending tried and true estimating basics while leveraging the tools and technology we have at our disposal.

Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing invitations to bid
• Collecting and interpreting all subcontractor quotes and scopes of work
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate bid proposals
• Produce construction schedules for bids
• Concurrent estimating of multiple projects at a time
• Conducting and coordinating site visits in conjunction with ownership
• Submitting requests for information to architects
• Conducting project hand-off with project management for a smooth buy-out process

Construction Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong math skills and analytical mindset
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans
• Proficiency in creation of proposals
• Strong network of local subcontractors
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
• Knowledge of the latest building codes
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 5 years (minimum) of experience in a similar role with proven track record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
