The Opportunity
As our Estimator/ Purchaser, you'll be a key player in steering the company toward financial success and operational efficiency. From assessing project costs to managing supplier relationships, your expertise will directly influence the trajectory of our business and contribute to delivering homes that exceed our customers' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analyses and prepare estimates for various projects.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Oversee the acquisition of materials and labor necessary to complete projects.
- Coordinate with the Project Management team to ensure seamless workflow.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Analyze market trends to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, purchases, and contracts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and purchasing, preferably within the home building industry.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications in supply chain management or similar fields are a plus!
Compensation:
- Full-Time position.
- Salary at $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience
