- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in communications or marketing.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- Experience in higher education marketing and communications.
- Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Knowledge of HyperText Markup Language (HTML).
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence, and persuasion. The ability to function as systems thinker and be solution minded with a global perspective.
- Knowledge and understanding of communication and marketing issues/trends in higher education.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in desktop publishing, graphic design/image editing, and web site development software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively across organizational levels and diverse populations.
- Experience with marking analytics platforms, i.e., Google Analytics, tag management system, Google Tag Manager, open-source platform, and Drupal.
- Knowledge on the factors that drive search engine optimization.
- Skilled in digital media.
- Ability to understand website architecture and constructs, including basic knowledge of tracking pixels.
- Knowledge of graphic design and constructs.
- Excellent communicator with ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and spoken formats to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
