Position Description: Assistant Director of Marketing Communications (Please apply using this link: https://www.applitrack.com/IgnatiusOH/onlineapp/JobPostings/view.asp?FromAdmin=true&AppliTrackJobId=345) The Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications plays a crucial role in supporting the overall marketing and communication efforts of Saint Ignatius High School. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position assists in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating strategic initiatives to enhance the school's recognition, promote its programs and events, maintain effective communication with various audiences, and support the goals of Saint Ignatius High School and The Welsh Academy. The Assistant Director will write, create, and contribute to a wide range of projects including marketing campaigns, social media management, website content development, email communications and newsletters, event promotion, photography, video production, and internal communication efforts. In addition, the Assistant Director acts as Project Manager and Contributor for the Saint Ignatius Magazine, a nationally distributed print publication including three issues a year. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the Marketing & Communications department and the Academic, Theology, Campus Ministry, and Mission departments and programs, including The Center for Ignatian Pedagogy (CIP), Christian Action Team (CAT), Arrupe, and the Spirituality Program for Adults (SPA). This position is a full-time, exempt, year-round position that reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

Key Responsibility Areas • Support Marketing & Communications Strategy: Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing & communications strategies, planning, and execution aligned with the school's mission, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all channels. • Social Media Management: Manage the school's social media presence across various platforms, including content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and engagement with the audience. • Content Development: Contribute to the creation of engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including the school's website, newsletters, emails, publications, and promotional materials. Maintain day-to-day communications. • Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of the Saint Ignatius Magazine, ensuring that deadlines are met and objectives are achieved. Work includes story conception and assignment, vendor management, and guiding and coordinating each issue from conceptualization to publication. The Saint Ignatius Magazine is the school’s primary print publication produced three times a year. Manage projects to ensure both internal resources and suppliers are working on time and on budget to deliver assignments by expected deadlines. • Website Management: Support the management of the school's website, including content updates, design enhancements, and optimization for user experience and search engine visibility. • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely within the Marketing & Communications team as well as cross-departmentally to ensure alignment and synergy in messaging and initiatives. • Video producing: Work closely with the Digital Media Specialist to create captivating video content, assisting with concept development, planning, scheduling, and scriptwriting ensuring smooth logistics and adherence to timelines. • Events & Activities Coverage: Capture events & activities through photography and writing to relay across communication channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and Saint Ignatius Magazine. • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all communications adhere to brand guidelines and editorial guidelines and meet the highest standards of quality. Responsible for maintaining consistent organizational voice and tone across communication channels.

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Visual Communications Design, or related field. • 4 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related roles, preferably in the education or non-profit sector. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner. Ability to vary writing style to meet specific needs, able to quickly repurpose content coming from multiple internal and external sources. • Proficiency in social media management tools, content management systems, CRM and list management, and analytics platforms. • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to achieve marketing objectives. • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly organized. • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision. • Highly developed computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar programs. • Knowledge of graphic design principles, SEO, video editing software, and other multimedia tools is a plus. • Proven track record of working across multiple divisions/operating groups and functions and juggling multiple priorities. • Superior writing ability, with command of the English language and grammar, and solid knowledge of AP Style. About Saint Ignatius High School: Saint Ignatius High School, which opened its doors September 6, 1886, is a Jesuit college-preparatory school. The school enrolls more than 1,400 young men who hail from 92 cities in an 11-county region. Located in close proximity to downtown Cleveland in the vibrant and energetic Ohio City neighborhood, the school occupies 23 acres and includes 19 buildings and three athletic fields.
