CMA is Hiring a Studio Institute Arts Intern in Marketing and Communications Near Cleveland, OH

Studio Institute Arts Intern in Marketing and Communications
The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Videography & Digital Asset Management Intern. In this role, interns will plan and execute a promotional video that assists in telling the story of the CMA's mission of creating transformative experiences through art. This intern will provide an overview of the museum's world-class collections, robust performing arts schedule, community arts programming, nightlife, and more.
We are seeking a visual storyteller to create an archive of b-roll that will be used for ongoing marketing efforts and implement an organizational system for video and other digital assets. This intern will work closely with the marketing department and other museum partners, sitting in during meetings and working with these partners to develop the best possible final product. Interns are expected to attend a variety of museum events (such as MIX, City Stages, Parade the Circle, etc.) outside of normal work hours to obtain video footage.
Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of the Microsoft and Adobe suites, and an artistic eye are essential, as is a collaborative spirit and willingness to interact with other departments at the museum and the public. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's program and can be pursuing a degree in a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to: Marketing, Communications, Visual Communications, Media Studies, Business, Art, Art History, and Museum Studies.
The primary deliverable for this intern to produce will be a completed 1-3-minute video piece that contributes to CMA's overall brand campaign to be used for ongoing marketing efforts. This intern will also be responsible for developing a video storyboard for CMA's brand campaign, creating an archive of museum b-roll, and implementing an organizational system for footage and other digital assets.
The Videography & Digital Asset Management Intern will have the unique opportunity to work in many different settings during their time at the museum, allowing them to build a strong video portfolio for future internship and career opportunities. Interns will learn about the museum's collections and image rights, how to create and execute a video storyboard, how to organize video shoots with internal museum partners, and how to edit videos from start to finish. This intern will have opportunities to improve their communications and organizational skills and establish greater competency in Microsoft and Adobe suites.
