Cleveland Die & Mfg. is Hiring a Purchasing and Administrative Assistant Near Middleburg, OH

We are looking for a talented professional to perform a combination of duties related to administrative assistance and purchasing, and to perform receptionist duties in a pleasant and efficient manner.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities*:

_ Purchasing Assistant Duties: _

  • Create purchase orders for MRO and miscellaneous, requested by departments.
  • Generate and distribute Request for Quotation to vendors. Conduct frequent market research to identify current market prices for MRO and miscellaneous ordered on a weekly basis.
  • Verify packing slips info, quality, and accuracy against purchase orders, receive orders in the system, forward packing slips to the accounting department, reconcile vendors accounts.
  • Communicate changes in product requirement and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate the status of their requisitions with Managers of the departments, Purchasing Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Expedite orders: commodities (raw materials, components), MRO and miscellaneous when necessary.
  • Obtain vendors info and certifications and distribution of documents as requested by Managers of departments.
  • Assist Tooling Department with recording documentation on the tooling built or repaired in house.

_ Administrative Assistant Duties: _

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, and making travel arrangements.
  • Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
  • Assist employees of the company with completing work- and employment-related paperwork.
  • Assist Human Resources Department with: new hire orientation process, creating and updating employee files, weekly documentations filing, maintaining training records, processing birthday cards and awards certificates, etc.
  • Coordinate arrangements for company sponsored events, meetings, and functions. Prepare meeting and training rooms for events.
  • Assists the A/R department with reconciliation of invoices and obtaining of the documentation to close orders and submit for payment.
  • Ordering and keeping track of office supplies. Maintain safety supplies stock and assist employees to release safety items from the secured cabinet.

_ Receptionist duties:_

  • Answering and screening phone phones calls in a professional manner, and routing and forwarding them, as necessary.
  • Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude, announcing visitors as necessary, assisting them in finding their way around the office.
  • Sorting and distributing mail. Pick up and drop off mail or packages as needed.
  • Complete temperature screening for visitors and employees.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SYSPRO and the Internet.
  • Must have office work experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Must have good math skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills are required, as well as the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
